A Taste of the Rapture
June 6, 2008A Vision
In March of 2001 I experienced a vision where I was IN the vision, not just watching it. I had been going through some very tough inner torments and afflictions concerning the truths of the cross, and was about at the end of my sanity and endurance. One night I awoke in the middle of the night, and on the way to the bathroom I just cried out from the very depths of my being one word, “Why??!?!??”. It was a one-word summation of everything I was suffering. I went back to bed and very shortly thereafter I was caught up into a vision.
In this vision it was about 9:00 A.M. I was standing in my livingroom, looking out the window, because I could not understand why it was so dark out. It was a darkness that you could feel, like you could actually grab handfuls of it. I was reminded of the darkness that was one of the plagues of the Egyptians, just before the Lord delivered them out of Egypt.
As I was looking out the window, I saw off in the distance above the trees a ball of light, with random flashes of what looked like lightning coming from it. As I watched it got bigger and closer and the lightning flashes became more frequent until I was taken into the light itself.
At the same time, in the midst of great and overwhelming fear, my spirit kept crying out with great joy, “He’s here, He’s here, He’s here, He’s here, He’s here”, over and over and over again. Then I felt a great and painful ripping and tearing as I felt my spirit being lifted up out of my mortal body, and in my heart I heard the words, “That’s why”.
People of God, we are the generation that will witness the return of our Lord Jesus Christ! Consider what this means. This is the day when time and the age of man draws to a permanent close. This is the day when ‘death’ and . . . all . . . that pertains to it will be finally vanquished! Ponder the fullness of what that really means!
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. ~ Prov. 14:12; 16:25
This is the day when we will each stand before the throne of our Lord Jesus Christ to give an account of that which we have done in this body. This is the day when all that has been hidden will be revealed for the eyes of all the world to see. This is the day where we will meet our Maker, our Lord and our Savior and have to confront the reality of who’s light, who’s strength and who’s understanding we have been placing our faith in. Now . . . are you ready to meet the Lord your God, your King, your Lord, your Savior?
That is the purpose of this blog, and its reason for being . . . to help you come to grips with the truths and the realities of your salvation. We live in times of great darkness, the worst of which is in the church itself, and we are about to enter into the days of great tribulation and judgment, and all because we rejected the way of the cross . . . refused to take up the cross to follow after our Lord Jesus Christ . . . refused to believe the truths and the warnings that He so abundantly gave us in His word, choosing to side with the things of man rather than the things of the spirit. We do not even begin to realize the price that we have paid, will pay and are presently paying for that choice, nor do we recognize the peril that we presently stand in.
There is a counterfeit for everything that is of God, and that includes the Holy Spirit Himself, not just His gifts. The unforgiveable sin and blasphemy against Him is to reject the true for the false. The peril and reality of a counterfeit however, is that it passes for the real thing . . . and will continue to do so until it is found out!
But how and when do you figure that you will find out!? Only our Lord Jesus Christ can grant us the light that we need to know the truth, and this light can only obtained through following the way of the cross, for it is only through coming to judgment that we find mercy, for God ’s grace is granted to the humble, not the proud . . . and as it is written:
According to thy faith, be it unto you. ~ Matthew 9:29
It is our fervent and heartfelt prayer that you will consider well that your Eternity is at stake here, and that it is YOUR eternity that is at stake . . . not your pastor’s, not your church’s, not your spouse’s, not your children’s, not your neighbor’s, not your friend’s, not your employer’s, not your counsellor’s, not the world’s . . . but YOURS. What is it worth to you?
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: . . . BECAUSE . . . strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. ~ Matt. 7:13-14
